End of Holiday Vacation

So we've come to the end of my little break. It was a good rest and well needed, but it still pains me that it is over. I can't wait until I'm 92 an able to retire and kick back full time. :p

I was glad to get my Thousand sons vehicles put together. Today I took them out with the prince and hit them with some primer. I'll need to hit a few more light coats to get a few corners tucked away in those odd angles.

I didn't get as far as I would have liked on my 2nd squad. I would have liked to have gotten all the layers of blue done and then I would have glued them on to the bases. As it is I'm about midway through, needing to do 6 more 2nd to final stage highlights, then the ultra light highlight for all 8.

Even still I'm not sure I would be happy glueing them to the base. There are still lots of tricky angles to get with the gold and yellow so at this point I might just leave them off the bases until they are done. I played last week and didn't mind just using empty bases the few times I needed.

Oh and that is an old black ork Trukk on the to do list. I need to get that painted over the next 5 days so I can use it for the tournament on Sat.
