Thousand Sons Terminators Wip

So I got some work done on my 1ksons terminators over the past week.  All the arms are magnetized so I can swap all those handy chaos options as I see fit.  I built the new headdress bits out of plasticard and I think they came out ok.  It is hard to see that them in the above pic because of the damn flash I thought I had turned off but they have lines in them that hopefully when painted will make them look right at home with the 1ksons troops.

The other bit of conversion done here is on the PWs.  I had seen some one online use bits from the Tomb kings weapons and I wanted to do the same.  I made mine a little different but overall I think the affect is great in giving them that Egyptian feel.

I have one more head bit on the way, and also some tzeench scorery books which I'm going to use as Icons (magnetized) for all my units and that will finish up the modeling.  If I can get that done this week I'll probably bust out the airbrush this weekend and do some massive 'Blue-ifying' of all my primered units.

As for what I'd use this all for here is an 1850 Thousand Sons list I'd like to try.

DP, Wings, Warptime
5 Terminators, 1 Chainfist, 3 Combimeltas, 1 Heavy Flamer, Icon of Tzeentch
8 Thousands sons w/ Personal Icon, 1 Sorcerer, Warptime, Metlta Bombs
Rhino, Extra Armor
8 Thousands sons w/ Personal Icon, 1 Sorcerer, Warptime, Metlta Bombs
Rhino, Extra Armor
8 Thousands sons w/ Personal Icon, 1 Sorcerer, Warptime, Metlta Bombs
Rhino, Extra Armor
Predator, Autocannon/Las Sponsoons
Predator, Autocannon/Las Sponsoons
3 Obliterators

It's not a lot but it could be fun.  The only thing I'm debating is if I want it to have... well a better chance at doing well is to use CSMs for that 3rd troop choice.  Of course I don't own them so... the above list using Liam's borrowed sons may be the way I have to go.  This is also assuming I can get that second squad painted and on the bases.

We'll see, I'm not 100% sold on using sons anyway, but I am longing to get some games in with them.

  1. I like the termies a lot. Can't wait to see them painted and properly based.
