2k Tourny Part 2

So just realized my blog didn't update the first part of this report, and I've been remiss about getting the rest up.  So here's a quick rundown of the next two games.

Up next I played a gal running sisters.  Her list looked something like:

This was the 5 objecitve game and DoW and I won roll off and chose to go first.  I put up Ghaz's wagon knowing I was going first and would move behind a building for cover.

She put out her HQ in a building and one rhino squad.  She decided to reserve the rest.  Not turn 1 I'll come out mind you, but acutal reserve. 

Of course what happened was she came in way too piecmeal and I just was on her line by turn 3 and chomped through the army.  I wont do the play by play but here are the pics.

By the end of 4 I had 4 objecitves and she had 1 with a small squad and my Kans just out of reach.  However she had very little left on the table and I had plenty, so we called it a game 15-0 for me.

The next game was against SW and a TWC list.  Going of memory it looked something like.

This was the three objecitves and pick 5 kill points.  I chose his two lords and 3 rhinos.  He picked my 2 buggies, the KFF Mek, his BW, and the Shootas.

This was a horribly fun game, one of the funnest 40k games I've played.  There was tons of back in forth in the 'who looks like they will take it' the whole time.  Ghaz lost wounds from stupid things like a fearless save, and he ended up losing a Lords last wound to a vehicle exploding.

That's a lot of craters.  In the end he had both Long fang squads, one Grey Hunter sitting on an objecitve.  I had Snikrot (hanging out behind that rhino I popped) and one Lootas squad.  That was the end of 5 and we just called it seeing as it didn't really matter for points anyways with it 9-6 for him.

I made two mistakes this game.  Immediately after we started pulling models up we realized I forgot my bosspole on my 9 remaining shootas (they had rolled a 10).  We rolled it out and they would have stuck around holding two objectives.  Now that said had the game gone on the TWC would have destroyed them with the Long fangs easily, but my lootas would have probably killed his last Grey Hunter for the tie.  But again it didn't matter much.

My real mistake was that I advanced Ghaz's wagon a mere 6" turn 1, but that was enough for him to send up a rhino loaded with Melta.  Looking at his list I should have just sat back and layed down as much fire into the TWC as possible.  I learned a good bit this game, and like I said it was horrible fun.

Should get a game or two this Friday night, then think I'll head up to a shop I've never been to for a 1850 event.
